Reviews on Meridian

Once a month Meridian Magazine posts a review column written by yours truly. I love reviewing LDS fiction, pointing out each book's strengths and weaknesses, and introducing readers to what's new in this field. Here's another way to win a free book. Read my column on Meridian then come back here to comment on one or more of the books I reviewed. Please keep adding your romance stories too; I'm loving them.

I don't consider myself a particularly romantic person, and I don't usually read "pure" romance stories. However, I did pick up Michelle Paige Holmes' first book, Counting Stars and I was very positively impressed by her style. I even liked the whole romance story as she presented it! Based on that, I think I'd probably enjoy All the Stars in Heaven just as much.

ON the other hand, I am very drawn to suspense stories, and since I already enjoyed reading Gregg Luke's first book, I'm now very intrigued by his second one, Altered State. It really sounds like something I could relish.

I really liked your review on All the Stars in Heaven. It makes me even more anxious to read it. I loved her first book Counting Stars and I think this one will be just as good. I love reading what others thought of it too.
