Woohoo!

Jeri Gilchrist reviewed If I Should Die.  You can read it here.  Lynn Gardner did too.  You can read her review here. I don't get many reviews, (Few people review a reviewer! especially in a positive way) so I want to share.

You can read my Meridian review of Minor Adjustments by Rachael Renee Anderson here.  In fact you can read all of my recent reviews by clicking on this link then going to Books and under books, Book Reviews.  If you leave comments under any of this month's review here and/or there, they will count as entries in this month's Wish List contest.

I thought about posting a blog about 9-11 before Sunday, but found I couldn't do it.  That cowardly event impacted my family a great deal and I didn't want to go through all of that emotional upheavel again. At the present time I prefer to look ahead to supporting my country, my family, and my faith with greater gratitude, more tolerance, increased vigilance, and increasing my efforts toward true justice and freedom for all.

I'm excited to read that both reviewers thought this was your best book! (I've asked for it for my birthday next week, and I'm looking forward to enjoying it as much as your reviewers). How neat to continue to improve at your craft. I still remember reading Macady when I was a young teenager and how much I loved that book and many of your subsequent books. Thanks for writing!

I just read your review of Ribbon of Darkness. I remember you posting about e- readers and asking if people would buy one. After using one, what do you think now? (If I've missed you posting about this I apologize for asking a question you've already answered).

As always I enjoy your comments. Last night I was watching Elder Oaks fireside address at BYU. He talked about Tolerance being a very poor idea, in that it promotes condoning evil. He suggested that respect for others is a much better approach. I noticed that you were going to TOLERATE more. Maybe, in light of elder Oaks' teaching last night, we should all commit to be more respectful, but not necessarily tolerate. We can get ourselves into a pickle when we selectively tolerate things and we end up having to condone things we otherwise would not. How about we be more respectful and move away from tolerance?

Tarmy, I love my Kindle and usually enjoy reading with it, but occassionally it's difficult to change really tiny print to something readable without it getting so large it's a nuisance to scroll back and forth. It's great to have a choice with more and more books being available in print, e-reader, or CD.

David, you make a valid point, and in most cases respect is a better word. However there are some things, those that don't involve a moral, legal, or religious issue, that annoy me and I just tolerate or as my mother used to say "Put up with" instead of making a fuss.
